On Thursday, the Green Lions will play the final match of the school league. On Monday, Coach Avi met the team. “This is the most important game of the year,” he said. “Listen carefully.”
“If we want to win, we have to play as a team. If you see a free player, pass him the ball. Nobody can win a game alone.”
“Sleep is important too. If you go to bed late on Wednesday, you will be tired on Thursday. And if you are tired, you will make mistakes.”
Then Coach Avi smiled. “If we lose, it won't be the end of the world. If we play our best, I will be proud of you — whatever happens.”
On Thursday, the Green Lions won the game by one goal. Everybody passed the ball, and nobody was tired.
