My mother is a vet. Her clinic is on Rose Street, next to the park. The clinic is small, but it is always busy.
Every morning, there are many animals in the waiting room. Some of them are sick, and some are there just for a check-up. Today there is a big black dog, two cats and a little rabbit. The dog is very nervous. The cats are quiet in their boxes.
“Why is the rabbit here?” I ask my mother. “His leg is hurt,” she says. “But don't worry. He is not in danger.”
I am at the clinic every Friday after school. I am not a vet, of course, but I help. I give the animals water and food. The animals are my friends, and I am sure that one day I will work with animals too.
