This summer, my brother Sam and I built a house in the big tree in our garden. It took us three days. Dad helped us with the wood, too.

The house is small, but it has a door, a window and a floor made of green boards. From the window, we can see the whole street. When we look down, the people seem tiny.

We spend a lot of time in the tree house. We read books, play cards and eat our food there. Sometimes our dog barks at the bottom of the tree because he feels left out. He can't climb, poor dog!

Mom says the tree house is good for us because we spend less time on screens.

Next week, we want to sleep there for one night. Sam says he is not afraid of the dark, but I think he needs a light. I need one too!
