How Chocolate Is Made

Everybody loves chocolate, but do you know where it comes from? Chocolate is made from the seeds of the cacao tree.

Cacao trees are grown in hot countries near the equator, like Ghana and Brazil. The fruit is picked by hand, and then the seeds are taken out.

Next, the seeds are dried in the sun for about a week. After that, they are sent to factories all over the world.

In the factory, the seeds are roasted. Then they are crushed into a thick paste. At the end, sugar and milk are added to make the sweet chocolate that we know.
