Dear Grandma,

I am at summer camp, and it is amazing! I sleep in a cabin with five other girls. They are really nice. Every night, we tell stories before bed.

The camp is next to a lake. In the mornings, we swim and go kayaking. The counselor is called Shira. She is nineteen, and she plays the guitar. At night, she sings songs with the whole group by the fire.

There is also a camp dog, a big, friendly dog called Rocky. He follows the kids everywhere, and he sleeps outside the cabin.

Do you remember the hat from Grandpa? I wear it every day because the sun is very strong here. Tell Grandpa that he is right — it is the best hat in the world!

I miss the cookies a lot. Can we bake together when I come home?
