It is a hot summer day. Shira and her brother Eli want to buy a new ball, but they don't have enough money. “Let's sell lemonade!” says Shira.
They squeeze lemons and add water, sugar and lots of ice. Eli makes a sign: “Cold lemonade — 2 shekels.” They put a small table in front of the house.
At first, nobody comes. Then a man with a dog stops. “It's so hot today!” he says, and he buys two cups. Soon there are many people at the table: neighbors, kids from the park and even the mailman.
In the evening, the children count the money. They have forty shekels — enough for a new ball and two ice creams!
