How to Make a Paper Boat

Do you want to make a boat that really floats? All you need is a piece of paper. Follow these steps.

1. Take a rectangle of paper, like a page from a notebook. Fold it in half from top to bottom.

2. Fold the two top corners down to the middle, so they make a triangle. There is now a strip of paper at the bottom.

3. Fold the strip up on both sides. Now your paper looks like a hat — you can even wear it!

4. Open the hat from the bottom and press it flat into a square. Fold the bottom corners up to the top on both sides, and open it into a square again.

5. Gently pull the two top points out to the sides. Your boat is ready!

Put your boat in a bath or a puddle and watch it float. Tip: color the boat with wax crayons before you start — the wax helps the paper stay dry for longer.
